Groomzilla

So, I know I haven't blogged in ages, i've been really busy planning the wedding. We got a place picked out and she's already bought the dress, and we are slowly making some progress towards our deadline, which by the way is 8-8-09. I must say that this process is so stressful and kinda fun, although I have already been called groom-zilla because i said "It's my wedding!" to my mom. HaHaHa.
All sorts of drama has already happened and its only been a week and and 3 days of engagement, from my parents to her bridesmaids.

Only time will tell...

So, i'm on my way to work this morning and was listening to KRCL & there was this song on by a man with a raspy, Tom Waits-ish like voice singing a song with lyrics like, "The chains are too tight, the beast wont go to sleep" & "I'd claw at your heart and I'll tear at your sheets"-- I was thinking Whoa! but then I remembered it was Friday the 13th, which i guess somewhat justifies those lyrics...Right?

M.I.A dances till it hurts

I love that M.I.A was performing at the grammy's whilst pregnant, she is a very chic mom to be in a very stretched out House of Holland number. It was reported that she started feeling contractions right after the performance...I hope she skips the after parties and heads for the hospital!

Wang Feng Shui with a touch of The Row

I just watched this video on Saks from Alexander Wang and he talks about how the combo dress that Jourdan Dunn wore on the runway for Spring 09 RTW was inspired by sleeping in satin sheets then running out of your house with your sheets wrapped around you! ( how's that for inspiration ) Anyways i just bought these black satin sheets that reminded me of his story, and i love them.
I threw a black/brown faux fur on top of the satin sheets a la the exclusive footage from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's holiday collection, on style.com. ( Apparently that really was Mary Kate's room in LA.)

It's Not Me It's You

Lily Allen Comes to Salt Lake April 08...Beating out other big name cities like Las Vegas, and Phoenix. Who knew SLC would be a city Lily would consider visiting to promote her new Album. Oh well I'm just excited to go! Also Lily's new album, "It's Not Me It's You" comes out Tuesday, February 10.

P.S--- Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10a, and they are 2$5 plus the $6 - $7.50 processing fee.

Coachella 2009

So I missed Coachella last year, and I told myself that no matter what that I can not miss Coachella '09....And here I am in 2009 and the Coachella artists were announced on Friday, and I dont think i can go... :(
Im broke as a joke, between saving money for possibly NYC in March and Hawaii in May my checking account is deflated. It's too bad because I REALLY wanted to See AMY WINEHOUSE,LYkke Li, The Kills, Fleet Foxes,Band of horses and Crystal Castles, and others!! Oh well we'll see...
